Hello, I'm Bethany.
I'm a wife, a mum of two little boys, and doggy mum to Dougie, our Golden Retriever - which means our house is noisy, muddy and absolutely full of love. It's also why I photograph the way I do: the pictures that end up meaning the most are never the perfectly posed ones. They're the real ones.
That's what I try to capture when I'm behind the camera. There are no stiff line-ups or awkward posing, just a bit of gentle direction while you get on with enjoying yourselves. Most of my favourite photographs happen in between the proper moments anyway: the speeches going off-script, the kids tearing around, your mum straightening your veil when she thinks nobody's looking.
Every shoot is relaxed, unhurried and usually a bit of a laugh, whether it's your wedding day, a newborn's first week at home or an hour in the park with the dog (treats provided, obviously). If that sounds like your sort of thing, get in touch and tell me what you're planning.

I work entirely on location, and that’s a choice rather than a compromise. The photographs people treasure aren’t made under studio lights - they’re made in real places, with the people (and pets) you love around you. Wherever your day is happening, I’ll bring the camera to it.

Meet properly
Before anything is booked, I like to meet in person where we can - over a coffee, at your kitchen table, wherever suits. You're choosing the person who'll be beside you all day, so it matters that we click. Further afield? A Zoom or Teams call works just as well.
Get booked in
Happy on both sides? A completed booking form and a small deposit secures your date, with the balance due four weeks before the day. Then it's official.
The day & your gallery
On the day I keep things easy - gentle direction when you need it, invisibility when you don't. A few weeks later your fully edited gallery arrives, ready to download, share and print.
